Mike & his 1940 Allis-Chalmers held out til the end of the parade then a piece of the fan broke off & went through the radiator. Unfortunately, Mike needed a tow back to his trailer by a John Deere, escorted by a Farmall. |

Too bad, Mike, that there was nobody to take our picture when the tractor umbrella came off it's pole & slid down in front of our faces as we were going down Day Drive on our way home. It would've been a great shot - me trying to get the umbrella out of the way without letting go of it into traffic & without falling off my seat. I guess we were playing "Blind Farmer...& his equally Blind Wife". We followed the parade with a great lunch at Red Lobster (although Mike, knowing he had a lot of work coming up on his Allis-Chalmers, ordered a full dinner) (and check out the small image on the home page to see Jerry's latest "hunting" story.) | |
